Walked into bloom and was sat immediately. Customer service was friendly and good. Ordered the chicken fried steak and also the BLT for the table. Both were very tasty and plenty of fries for the BLT. The chicken fried steak dish was delicious but the steak portion was very small about 3-4 ounces for the price of over $20. Chicken fried steak, especially for the price should be a good sized portion. The reason I give it a 4 is because of the excessive price of soda. It's $4.95 for an ice filled glass and about 6 ounces of soda that is poured out of a can. You don't get the can either. My wife and I ordered a refill because such a small amount and we ended up paying $19.80 for essentially two cans of soda. That felt extremely pricey for what it was. If you're charging $4.95 for 6 ounces of soda it better come with refills. Update: I got a message from the restaurant explaining they don't charge for refills and my bill was adjusted. Good on them for that.

BLOOM IS THE BEST SPOT IN SOUTH OC. Or at least it's up there. If there was a Mount Rushmore for spots down here, their name would be on it. All the food was incredible. The service was unreal. They have such a cute setting inside. I couldn't be happier with our experience. Cheers.

We went there with some friends. Our server,Brianna, was outstanding. She offered many suggestions on food and wine. Everything were ordered was exceptional. My friend and I shared the meatloaf and it was delicious. We had three different appetizers and all were very good. The ambiance in the restaurant is very nice and relaxing. I highly recommend stopping by.

The food presentation was lovely but the flavor wasn't quite as bold as it looked. But it hit the spot. After a long wait, we were quickly seated and served which was nice because we were hungry. Servers were prompt with drink refills and check ins. But the ambience is my highlight of this restaurant as many tables are set sunken along its perimeter on the street corner with large open windows. Good way to incorporate indoor/outdoor atmosphere and for people watching.

We went here two Fridays ago for my dad's birthday dinner. We sat in a large booth for six people, which created a really nice, intimate vibe. They also have really large windows, which invites an indoor, outdoor feel. Our server, Daren, was super attentive, nice, and eligible. We ordered that liver pate, focaccia bread, and ricotta gnocchi for starters. If you love pasta and bacon, I highly recommend the ricotta gnocchi. I could have ordered this for my main dish! Unfortunately, I didn't love my main dish, I ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf, I just felt like the meatloaf was a little dry. But it came side of truffle Mac and cheese, which was perfectly flavored and not overly cheesy. I also tried my boyfriend's rib eye which we both loved. We also had a cake for my dad in the back which they brought out and lit candles, they also had their own little dessert ice cream they gave us. Overall had a great time. This place is also located in a fun area, right across the mission, and next to a few dive bars. Also across the street from the train tracks if you want to walk around for a glass of wine, dessert or something more casual after.

What a lovely experience! We wandered in to bloom looking for oysters and a Bloody Mary. They told us that although they just took oysters off the brunch menu, they would still serve us oysters. Just the fact that the staff was willing to go above and beyond to satisfy our craving is enough for a five star review. The oysters were divine, and the Bloody Mary was excellent! Great atmosphere! We were so happy we stopped here.

Came a few weeks ago for a girlfriend's birthday and Bloom was the PERFECT spot for the celebration. The restaurant overlooks the old mission, and on that beautiful Saturday all the windows were open to let in the fresh summer breeze. Our server and other Bloom staff went above and beyond to make our experience special. They were very careful and patient with accommodating dietary needs. They made great recommendations for the menu. They even brought out these mysterious pretty purple drinks to celebrate the birthday! Food was incredible. Every dish was flavorful and indulgent without feeling overly rich. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Fried items (we ordered chicken & the prime hanger steak) were super crispy and not greasy. We cleaned off every bit of food on our plates! It's a 2 hour drive for me to come here, but Bloom's experience was so great this will definitely be a go-to anytime I'm in the area. Highly recommend to anyone visiting San Juan Capistrano!

Bloom restaurant was everything we needed for a small family reunion in the area. We intended to go to Heritage barbecue, but the lines were very long and we wanted shade. We called bloom and they fit us in within a half an hour with a fairly large party. I was really impressed with their accommodation. They were also willing to split, which is a great service to a larger group like ours. Everyone liked the food and the atmosphere was on point! it had a wonderful vibe and the open windows made for a lovely breeze. I can highly recommend it would come back again. The service was excellent and the food was also.

Loved the food, ambience, and service. Chelsey was an amazing server. She listened to dietary requests and everything was PERFECT. She had a nice conversation with us and made us feel like regulars. There were many people who come there frequently. Makes you know it is a top notch the location. Loved the ambiance. Would highly recommend.

Great dinner here sitting at the bar. Lots of choices on the menu and wonderful drink menu. Our bartender Hoover was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some excellent recommendations. Very laid back vibe with upscale food choices. We look forward to returning and trying some new dishes
